  • How do CARSTAR stores submit cash, cheques, or EFTs to Cystic Fibrosis Canada?

    CARSTAR stores can submit funds to CF Canada by cash deposit, cheque, or electronic transfer (EFT), depending on what works best for the fundraiser. If you need support with the best method for your situation, please contact partnerships@cysticfibrosis.ca.

  • Will donors receive tax receipts?

    Only eligible donations will receive a tax receipt. Collective fundraising and purchased items, including auction items, are not eligible as per CRA guidelines. Should you have any questions about your payment's eligibility please connect with CF Canada at partnerships@cysticfibrosis.ca

  • How do I set up a CARSTAR fundraiser page?

    You can easily create or join a fundraising page here: Create a fundraiser on CrowdChange. Set a goal, add photos, customize your message, and share your page with your community to start fundraising.

  • Can anyone donate to a CARSTAR fundraiser?

    Yes! CARSTAR fundraisers are open to customers, staff, family, friends and local community supporters. Donations of any size help move progress forward for people living with cystic fibrosis. 

  • Can CARSTAR stores run a fundraiser at any time of year?

    Yes. Stores are encouraged to create local, store-led fundraisers at any time. Whether it’s a customer donation drive, a team challenge or a community event, every effort helps drive impact for Canadians living with CF. 

  • What should stores include when discussing cystic fibrosis?

    A simple message is often most effective: Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic disease that causes serious complications over time. While progress has been made, CF remains life-limiting, and not everyone benefits from current therapies. Fundraising helps drive research, care, advocacy, and quality of life support. 

  • Where can stores find logos, posters, and branded materials?

    Please contact Oghogho Oteju at Oghogho.Oteju@drivenbrands.com for access to brand assets, downloadable logos, and promotional materials.

  • How can stores submit photos or updates from their fundraiser?

    Stores are encouraged to share photos, highlights, and results so the impact can be celebrated and amplified. Photos can be shared directly to Heli Vanaselja at hvanaselja@cysticfibrosis.ca. Please include the store name, location, fundraiser name, and date.
